Katie is passionate about bringing computer science to students of all ages. She teaches high school computer science, including the new AP Computer Science Principles course (CS50 style). She also volunteers to teach an after school coding club at her son's public middle school, as well as a middle school coding club at Hopkins School. She believes coding is a life skill that empowers all students and should be taught at all levels. She earned a B.A. in Computer Science and Theatre Studies from Yale University and an M.Ed. in Secondary Mathematics and Special Education from Chestnut Hill College. She was also a Corps Member for Teach for America.
