Laura Richardson has been a classroom teacher in Brookline, Massachusetts for fourteen years and absolutely loves it. She infuses technology across all subject areas by developing and teaching coding & robotics curriculum, using individual student blogs, and connecting with other classrooms via Twitter and Skype.

Laura is currently a finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST), is a member of the Teacher Advisory Council for the State of Massachusetts, has led several Twitter and coding workshops in Brookline, has spoken about technology in the classroom at local universities, mentors first year teachers as a Grade Level Facilitator in science, was featured for her work on Chinese-American cultural education on the Primary Source website, and is currently working on an advisory panel for National Geographic Children’s Books.

Laura graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, and has her Master’s in Science Education from Lesley University. Prior to teaching, she worked as an Information Technology Consultant and Technical Writer & Editor.
